Tooth Fairy Ideas No Money

I didn't think I'd have to address this question until Josh had lost at least a few

teeth. It's a shame that he only got to be a believer for the one tooth that he's lost so far.

There is such beauty in the joy and wonder of fantasy—the thrill of some little pixie knowing exactly when you lost your tooth and quietly appearing in your room, only after you're sound asleep, and leaving valuable treasures under your pillow.

I don't know why it was on Josh's mind all of a sudden since he lost his tooth last summer, but for whatever reason, the tooth fairy popped into his head, and he reasoned that there is no such thing.

"I don't believe in tooth fairies because I've never seen one, I don't know what they look like and I don't think they're real," Josh says.

The fact that Josh is not buying the idea of sprites with money doesn't mean that Bobby and I have spoiled the fun for him. Josh decided that the tooth fairy concept wasn't working for him on his own. I even asked him if another child told him that there was no such thing, but he said no.

Even if Josh doesn't believe, I don't want him to break the news to his peers who do. I let him know that there are other kids who believe and he should respect that and not ruin the surprise.

But it's too late for little sister. He's already shared his views with Samantha even though she insists that she has a green fairy with wings in her room.

"But I'm not talking about toy fairies," Josh says. "I'm talking about living, flying fairies sprinkling fairy dust around and leaving money under your pillow—they do not exist."
